Job summary

Ouzinkie Native Corporation is seeking a Surgical Services Technician to assist the Lead Technician in daily clinic operations at Fort Carson. The role covers team coordination, supply management, and maintaining sterile fields in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with surgical patient care, instrument handling, anesthesia support, and adherence to infection control and credentialing requirements to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy, asepsis, sterile techniques, and surgical instrument handling.
• Completion of an accredited surgical service/clinical program (CAAHEP or ABHES).
• At least twelve months of surgical services technician experience within the last 36 months.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross, valid at all times.
• Must meet site's health screening, immunization, background checks and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care activities.
• Transport patients and related records to and from the OR and recovery room.
• Assist with routine safety checks and maintenance on medical equipment.
• Perform scrub duties in the Operating Room and assist the operative team.
• Assist anesthesia personnel with patient positioning and monitoring basics.
• Maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment; prepare specimens for labs.
• Assist circulating nurse with records, reports, and requests; prep for procedures.
• Attend in-service training and comply with infection control and safety standards.
• Perform general clinic duties and support nursing staff as needed.
