Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Surgical Specialty-Operative team. The PA provides direct patient care with prescriptive authority and works under supervising physicians across adult and pediatric cases.

The role covers specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Vascular, Trauma, Transplant, Urology, Plastics, and other surgical fields. Strong licensure and NCCPA certification are required.

Formación

• EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - NCCPA and BLS within 30 days of hire

Responsabilidades

• Assess the physical and mental condition of patients by performing comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and histories.
• Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe or use medical drug therapies and related treatments following approved policies.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Counsel patients and families about medical processes, medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintain records detailing treatment plans and outcomes and coordinate referrals when necessary.
• Provide consultation level services for conditions related to the provider’s specialty.
• Manage patients in inpatient, outpatient, or operating room settings.
• Perform invasive procedures within scope of practice as delegated by supervising physicians.
