Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the ENT clinic, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The MA conducts clinical tasks, prepares patients for examination, records vital signs, histories, and assists with procedures.

Comprehensive training and supervision are provided in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The role involves both clinical and some administrative duties, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EHR while

Qualifications

• Certified/Licensed MA preferred or equivalent healthcare training.
• Experience in medical practice or clinical setting is desirable.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms to maintain flow.
• Obtain patient histories and medications/allergies.
• Record vital signs in the EHR and notify providers of concerns.
• Record medications and laboratory results in the EHR.
• Prepare for procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Perform minor procedures such as dressing changes and injections.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Document clearly in the EHR and manage prescriptions/refills.
