Frederick Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the ENT medical office, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm. The MA will perform clinical duties under the direction of medical group providers, including preparing patients for examinations, recording vital signs, taking histories, and assisting with procedures.

The role also involves education of patients and families, minor procedures, specimen collection, documentation in the EHR, and coordinating with pharmacies for prescriptions.

Qualifikationen

• Certified/Licensed MA preferred.
• CNA/EMT/LPN - Associates degree or higher preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in medical practice or clinical setting.
• CPR Certification; knowledge of EMR/MS Office.

Aufgaben

• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterility.
• Record vital signs and patient histories in the EHR.
• Review tests and notify providers of abnormalities.
• Educate patients on treatments and medications.
• Perform minor procedures (dressing changes, phlebotomy, injections).
• Process prescriptions and coordinate with pharmacies in the EHR.
