Job summary

VCU Health seeks a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join the Otolaryngology department. The PA will balance inpatient consult care with outpatient and procedural clinic responsibilities, coordinating consult services, participating in rounds, and managing new and follow-up cases for complex ENT patients.

Under physician supervision, the PA provides diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive care, assisting with surgeries and prescribing medications.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the Virginia Board of Medicine
• Certification (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications where needed
• Credentialing in accordance with medical staff by-laws for specific job title

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inpatient consult service and participate in daily rounds
• Manage new and follow-up consults in a fast-paced ENT setting
• Support and independently operate in high-volume ENT procedural clinics
• Perform a wide range of ENT procedures as needed
• Maintain clear documentation and communication with the care team
• Supervise and coordinate activities of support staff within assigned area
