Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems (VCUHS) seeks a highly skilled Physician Assistant for the Otolaryngology department. The role blends inpatient consult care with outpatient and procedural ENT clinic responsibilities, coordinating the consult service, rounds, and complex post-ED/post-surgery patients.

The PA will support and operate in high-volume ENT clinics, work within a multidisciplinary team, and perform a broad range of ENT procedures as needed to ensure timely, quality

Qualifications

  • Education/training required: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Experience: previous clinical experience with the population served.
  • Preferred: experience in an academic healthcare system.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inpatient consult service and participate in daily rounds.
  • Manage new and follow-up consults and support ENT procedural clinics.
  • Perform a wide range of ENT procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to deliver high quality patient care.
  • Supervise/coordinate activities of support staff when assigned.
  • Maintain and document patient data in the medical record.
