Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an Advanced Practice Provider in Otolaryngology for inpatient and outpatient care. The role splits time 50/50 between the hospital and clinic, requiring a patient-centered approach and ability to multitask within multidisciplinary teams.

ENT experience is preferred. Eligible candidates are physicians assistants or nurse practitioners with strong clinical skills, licensure in Texas, NCCPA certification, and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in PA or APRN program and ARC-PA accreditation.
• NCCPA certification required or RN/APRN licensure with prescriptive authority.
• Current ACLS certification and Texas Board of Nursing authorization.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis.
• Develops and evaluates the patient plan of care with ordering and interpreting labs, imaging, and other studies.
• Demonstrates proficiency in clinical and procedural skills as appropriate.
• Provides management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families.
• Participates in quality initiatives and clinical research protocols to improve practice.
• Collaborates on research projects and applies evidence-based practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
