Job summary

Baylor University in Waco, Texas, invites applications for the Director for Enrollment & Student Success. This leadership role oversees recruitment, enrollment, and retention initiatives to advance Baylor’s academic mission and growth goals.

The director will work with the Dean, supervise staff, coordinate with Admissions and Financial Aid, and develop long-range plans and budgets to maximize impact across the School of Music and the broader campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience are required.
• Five years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Additional education or experience will be considered in lieu of one another.
• Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Dean to develop a strategic long-range plan and interim goals for the office.
• Direct and manage department staff to work towards achievement of enrollment and retention goals.
• Oversee the planning of recruiting efforts designed to encourage prospective student interest in the School of Music.
• Interact effectively with faculty and staff to encourage and coordinate their involvement in programs to promote enrollment.
• Review applications and credentials of applicants to coordinate admission and scholarship decisions.
• Coordinate with Admissions and Financial Aid to ensure success of recruiting efforts.
• Create a student enrollment and retention plan by leveraging resources to maximize effectiveness of programs.
• Provide expertise required to develop and evaluate present and new enrollment programs.
• Oversee all areas within enrollment management to ensure that the school meets enrollment goals.
• Conduct fiscal management with focus on building a budget for the recruiting and student programs area.
• Assign and oversee department staff and work-study students to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain reports that generate data on point-of-contact activities and applications through enrollment.
• Maintain reports and conduct data analysis to evaluate effectiveness of enrollment projects.
• Perform all other duties to support Baylor’s mission.
• Ensure compliance with University policies and maintain regular attendance.
