Job summary

Germanna Community College is seeking a Part-Time Enrollment Services Specialist to join the Enrollment Lab and Student Help Desk at the Locust Grove Campus in Orange, VA. The role guides prospective and current students from inquiry through enrollment, including admissions and registration, with a focus on excellent customer service and timely follow-up.

The successful candidate will work 29 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and may cover other Germanna locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Enrollment Services or Admissions or related student-support role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management.
• Experience using a Student Information System (PeopleSoft/Banner/Navigate or similar).
• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented work habits.
• Excellent customer service and ability to handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Welcome Center coverage and assist with system access, admissions onboarding, and course registration.
• Offer accurate referrals and warm handoffs to Counseling, Advising, Accessibility Resources, Veterans Affairs, and Financial Aid.
• Conduct timely outreach by email, text, and phone and maintain confidential records.
• Assist with online services, account access, and notices in the Student Help Desk.
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve student concerns and ensure seamless service.
• Process Admissions and Records transactions and support international applicants as needed.
