Job summary

Germanna Community College is seeking a full-time Financial Aid Advisor to work in the Financial Aid Office at our Locust Grove Campus. The successful candidate will provide direct assistance and support services to staff and students in-person, virtually, and by phone.

Some travel between college locations may be required; the role supports a diverse student body and follows a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM at the Locust Grove campus in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and analytically, exercise discretion and good judgment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Experience working with diverse students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and families with financial aid options and process federal, state, and institutional applications.
• Provide in-person, virtual, and phone support to staff and students.
• May travel between college locations as required.
