Job summary

Donnelly College is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications in Kansas City, Kansas. This leadership role drives the college’s marketing, communications, and brand strategy to boost enrollment and philanthropic support.

You will oversee content creation, webmaster duties, and media relations while collaborating with admissions and other departments to reflect the college’s Catholic mission and community values. The position may require some evening/weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or journalism.
• Minimum of four years of progressive marketing/PR experience in a complex organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management with ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cross-departmentally and with limited budget resources.
• Experience with photography and video production.
• Experience with social media management and CMS platforms.
• Familiarity with web design platforms and Adobe Suite is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Create, execute and evaluate a multi-faceted strategic marketing and communications plan.
• Supervise staff and freelancers; collaborate with Admissions and departments to solidify messages.
• Measure impact of marketing campaigns and integrate new metrics as strategies evolve.
• Manage department budget and annual plan.
• Serve as webmaster; optimize AI, SEO and content across platforms.
• Lead content production including photography, videography, writing and editing.
• Oversee recruitment videos and events marketing for external audiences.
• Coordinate media relations and be the primary media contact for the college.
