Job summary

CT State Community College seeks a Recruitment & Outreach Specialist to drive enrollment efforts and act as the primary contact for prospective students from inquiry through matriculation.

The role partners with high schools, adult education programs, and community partners to monitor progress in the enrollment pipeline, provide resources, and support students through the admission process. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of related experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience that would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position’s essential duties.
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet and interact with students, parents, school officials and others in academic environments
• Demonstrated knowledge and competence in advising students and applicants regarding academic courses
• Demonstrated understanding of undergraduate academic enrollment requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work individually and within a team setting
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds including disabilities
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Responsibilities

• Provide services to recruit prospective students into the admissions pipeline.
• Serve as the main point of contact for external partners (high schools, adult education administrators, and other community partners).
• Monitor student progress in the enrollment pipeline and conduct continued outreach.
• Provide resources and referrals to support students from inquiry to matriculation.
