Job summary

Easterseals Chicago is seeking an Intake Specialist to be the first point of contact for families exploring Early Learning Services. You will guide families through the enrollment process, answer questions about eligibility, and help complete online applications and documents.

You will work with program staff to coordinate meetings, track applications, and provide accurate information about services and locations in the Chicago area.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with families and explain enrollment processes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Respond to families about enrollment via phone and online pre-application.
• Explain eligibility, waiting lists, and selection procedures clearly.
• Conduct phone screenings to help complete applications.
• Record application details in the database accurately.
• Submit applications for eligibility approval and track corrections.
• Coordinate with program staff to arrange in-person meetings as needed.
• Represent Easterseals at community events and outreach activities.
