Job summary

Child Start, Inc. seeks an Enrollment Specialist to guide families through applications, verify eligibility, and maintain accurate enrollment records across our early childhood programs.

The role includes home visits when needed, collaboration with partner agencies, data entry, and handling the hotline/online pre-application process, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and service to families in Wichita, KS.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in social work, business or a related field.
• Requires one to three years of related experience.
• Head Start or database experience preferred
• Bilingual preferred
• Must be able to travel to other Child Start locations and applicant homes to complete eligibility paperwork.
• Use of office equipment such as telephone system, fax, scanner, etc.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and data entry accuracy
• Focused attention to detail, well-organized and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Able to communicate in a professional manner through verbal/written means, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Requires a high level of confidentiality, personal integrity, and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Establish a comfortable working relationship with families beginning at the time of application.
• Conduct interviews and review family documentation to verify eligibility and maintain accurate electronic records.
• Conduct home visits when needed to complete interviews or contact families.
• Form and maintain relationships with outside agencies to facilitate recruitment and services.
• Set up and staff recruitment tables at community events.
• Support efforts to maintain funded enrollment and waitlists.
• Manage Child Start's hotline and online pre-application process.
• Provide information and referrals to waitlisted families, including required paperwork.
• Ensure data is entered accurately with all applicable documentation to complete applications.
• Process EHS to HS transition eligibility verifications as assigned.
