Job summary

Child Start, Inc. is seeking an Enrollment Specialist to support families through the application process for our Head Start programs in Wichita, KS.

This role emphasizes accurate documentation, eligibility verification, and data entry, with travel to applicant homes as needed. The candidate should have an Associate's degree and 1–3 years of related experience; Head Start or database experience is preferred, and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in social work, business or related field.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Head Start or database experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Willingness to travel to other Child Start locations and applicant homes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with families beginning at the time of application.
• Conduct interviews and review family documentation to verify eligibility and maintain records.
• Conduct home visits when needed to complete applications.
• Collaborate with outside agencies to recruit and serve families.
• Staff recruitment tables at community events to sign up families.
• Support enrollment targets and manage waitlists and hotline.
• Ensure data is entered accurately for all applications.
• Process EHS to HS transition eligibility verifications, as assigned.
