Job summary

Child Start, Inc. is seeking an Enrollment Specialist to guide families through the application process for early childhood programs. You will verify eligibility, complete documentation, and maintain electronic records with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.

The role involves home visits, community outreach, and coordinating with partner agencies to support enrollment levels and waitlists. Strong data entry skills and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in social work, business or related field.
• 1–3 years of related experience; knowledge of standard practices.
• Head Start or database experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Must travel to other Child Start locations and applicant homes.

Responsibilities

• Establish a comfortable relationship with families at application.
• Verify eligibility criteria and maintain electronic records.
• Conduct home visits when needed to complete interviews.
• Build relationships with outside agencies for recruitment and services.
• Staff recruitment tables at community events to sign up families.
• Support enrollment levels and maintain waitlists.
• Manage hotline and online pre-application process.
• Provide information and referrals to waitlisted families.
• Ensure data and documentation accuracy for applications.
• Process eligibility verifications for EHS to HS transition.
