Job summary

HarborCHC is seeking an Enrollment Coordinator to assist patients with enrollment in health insurance and subsidy programs, anchoring them to HarborCHC. This non-exempt role follows a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule with overtime approved in advance.

Responsibilities include completing applications for Covered CA and Benefits Cal, following up on enrollment status, and ensuring detailed documentation in the ECW EHR system. Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Verbal and written fluency in English and Spanish.
• At least 2 years' experience in healthcare customer services.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification by the American Heart Association.
• Experience at a Federally Qualified Health Center preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel.
• Commitment to improving community health.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR), eClinicalWorks preferred.
• Familiarity with San Pedro/surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients to enroll and maintain enrollment into health insurance and subsidy programs.
• Anchor patients to HarborCHC and adhere to organizational standards.
• Submit enrollment applications into program platforms such as Covered CA and Benefits Cal.
• Conduct timely follow-ups to verify enrollment status and resolve issues.
• Maintain patient enrollment documentation in HarborCHC's EHR, ECW.
• Provide monthly enrollment assistance reports to the supervisor.
• Help patients select a health plan based on needs.
