Job Description
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Serves as a public contact for the department and answersinquiries by e-mail, mail, telephone, and in person.
- Responds to routine and moderately complex questions or issuesregarding policies, procedures, and processes and ensurescompliance at the unit level (enrollment, registration, scheduling,certification, grades, etc.).
- Prepares, reviews, and performs input of student documents anddata.
- Scans and indexes paper documents.
- Maintains and updates lists, prepares mailings, and performsdata entry.
- Drafts documents, correspondence, spreadsheets, contracts andreports.
- Creates or maintains unit filing systems or workflows.
- May assist in arranging or supporting events.
- May provide training and development services to increaseworkforce competence, employee engagement, or organizationalcapability.
- May serve as a team leader, oversee the work of lower levelpersonnel in assigned area.

Required Qualifications:
- This position requires a high school diploma and two years offull-time experience directly related to the job functions.
- Relevant full-time general office experience.
- Experience operating a personal computer and proficient withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience,and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience with Ellucian Banner.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to think strategically and approach challengeswith creativity
- Demonstrated track record of reliability, meeting goals, andholding oneself accountable
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working effectivelyacross teams
- Knowledge of general office procedures.

- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attentionto detail.
- Ability to operate office equipment including personalcomputer, copy machine, fax machine, and calculator.
- Ability to operate personal computers with proficiency andlearn new applications and systems.
- Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team andindependently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with staff,faculty, students, and the community in a service-orientedenvironment.
- Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned andtimely decisions.
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produceanswers that make sense.
