Florida Gulf Coast University is seeking an Enrollment Assistant II to support the Office of Records and Registration with routine enrollment processes and inquiries from prospective students, the university community, and the public.

The role involves handling inquiries by multiple channels, processing student documents, scanning and indexing records, preparing reports, and assisting with events. Strong Excel/Word/Outlook skills and a high school diploma with related experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma and two years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
  • Relevant full-time general office experience.
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a public contact for the department and answers inquiries by e-mail, mail, telephone, and in person.
  • Responds to routine and moderately complex questions or issues regarding policies, procedures, and processes and ensures compliance at the unit level (enrollment, registration, scheduling, certification, grades, etc.).
  • Prepares, reviews, and inputs of student documents and data.
  • Scans and indexes paper documents.
  • Maintains and updates lists, prepares mailings, and performs data entry.
  • Drafts documents, correspondence, spreadsheets, contracts and reports.
  • Creates or maintains unit filing systems or workflows.
  • May assist in arranging or supporting events.
  • May provide training and development services to increase workforce competence, employee engagement, or organizational capability.
  • May serve as a team leader, oversee the work of lower level personnel in assigned area.

Job Description

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as a public contact for the department and answers inquiries by e-mail, mail, telephone, and in person.

Required Qualifications

  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Work experience in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner.

  • Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned and timely decisions.
