Job summary

The University of Texas at El Paso is seeking instructors to develop and teach non‑credit courses for youth and adult learners. Instructors may teach in-person or via technology and computer labs to support student learning.

We welcome professionals with expertise across subjects to share knowledge, build curricula, and deliver engaging lessons in a supportive, inclusive environment. This is a temporary, contingent position with potential for extension and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with the public, students, faculty and university personnel.
• Ability to use classroom technology and/or equipment proficiently.
• Experience with Blackboard, MS Teams or another Learning Management System is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach non-credit courses and programs for youth and adult learners.
• Create engaging, age‑appropriate learning experiences.
• Teach courses in person or via technology and computer lab environments.
• Prepare course materials, lesson plans, and syllabi with objectives and outcomes.
• Deliver content using varied teaching styles and provide engaging activities.
• Maintain a conducive classroom environment and manage student learning.
