Ruppert Landscape is hiring an Enhancement Manager to join the Charlotte Maintenance team. The role oversees production, sales, and customer satisfaction for all branch enhancement projects, while managing budgets and developing field leadership.

Strong collaboration across teams is essential to drive profitability, operations, and client retention. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of production management, 2+ years in sales/customer service, and proficiency in estimating enhancement

Qualifications

• 2+ years of people management experience on production level.
• 2+ years in sales and customer service with service customers.
• 2+ years managing multiple projects in production.
• 2+ years estimating enhancement-type work.
• Horticultural degree(s) or related with two years industry experience; substitutions allowed.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean record in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Communicate company policies to supervisors and monitor progress toward objectives.
• Lead branch goals, motivate staff, and conduct reviews.
• Develop field manager talents and plan personnel needs across the branch.
• Maintain recruiting to address production staffing.
• Oversee seasonal color rotations and enhancement projects.
• Develop profitable estimates for enhancement work to hit sales objectives.
• Prepare job packages and billings for enhancement jobs.
• Monitor job costs and budgets; share cost data with field managers.
• Ensure quality via regular site visits and address customer concerns within 24 hours.
• Coordinate material deliveries and manage enhancement nursery space.
• Schedule crews and ensure properly staffed teams.
• Conduct formal and informal training sessions.
• Write purchase orders and approve invoices; update sales sheet monthly.

We are hiring an Enhancement Manager to join our Charlotte Maintenance team.

Position Description:

The Enhancement Manager oversees the production, sales, and customer satisfaction of all branch enhancement projects, while managing budgets, developing field leadership, and contributing to overall branch and company performance goals. This role requires strong collaboration across teams to drive profitability, operational excellence, and client retention.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate to all your supervisors the philosophies, policies, and procedures by which the company operates.
• Clearly communicate the branch’s annual and long-term goals to those supervised, motivate them in an acceptable fashion to “exceed our expectations” and monitor progress toward these objectives through timely formal reviews and regular informal evaluations.
• Develop a clear understanding of your field manager’s strengths, weaknesses, and professional and personal goals. Based on this knowledge, take an active role in their development within the company in an effort to respond to personnel needs in and out of your branch.
• Maintain a constant recruiting effort to address personnel needs in the production area company-wide.
• Oversee all seasonal color rotations.
• Develop by hand or computer, depending on size, profitable estimates for enhancement work as needed to hit sales objectives.
• Prepare job packages and billings for all enhancement jobs you sell.
• Develop a clear understanding of the hourly and cost budgets for each of your jobs. Monitor by reviewing job costs regularly. Communicate job cost information to field managers on a regular basis to control hours and costs.
• Monitor the quality of our service through regular job site visits. Evaluate site performance by completing one field report/inspection report per quarter for the last three quarters of the year. Address any customer concerns within 24 hours.
• Oversee all hard material purchases for the branch.
• Coordinate all deliveries of material to the yard and maintain the enhancement nursery space.
• Schedule all enhancement crews and maintain properly staffed crews.
• Conduct formal certification training and informal training sessions on a regular basis.
• Write purchase orders and approve invoices for all purchases made.
• Update the enhancement sales sheet for all enhancement sales monthly.
• Monitor AM and PM routines of your crews.
• Help to maintain a branch facility that reflects our corporate image and provides a safe, comfortable environment for all employees and visitors.
• Help to maintain branch fleet and equipment that reflect our image and provide a safe operating environment for our employees.
• Prospect for leads and make sure they get included in the branch’s prospecting system.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability and two years’ experience managing others on the production level, including recruiting, hiring, performing evaluations, and training and development.
• Demonstrated skill and ability in sales and customer service. Must have at least two years of experience dealing directly with service customers.
• Demonstrated skill and ability in managing the production of service work. At least two years of experience running more than one project at a time.
• Demonstrated ability and at least one year of experience estimating enhancement-type work.
• Two or four-year horticultural or related degrees and two years of industry experience. Additional industry experience or industry certifications can substitute for a non-related degree, two-year degree, or no degree.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English.
• Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean record over the last three years.
