Ruppert Landscape is a commercial landscape maintenance and construction company combined as a privately and employee‑owned specialty contractor. A multi‑state presence with a small company feel, our mission is to provide opportunities for our people, take care of our customers, and be good stewards of the environment and our community.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a clear understanding of the philosophies by which the company operates, the short‑and long‑term goals of the branch, and the financial position of the branch.
  • Get to know your people in an effort to help them develop within the company. Set goals with them and monitor their progress through timely formal and informal evaluations.
  • Be an active part of our training process by attending or conducting certification training sessions on a regular basis.
  • Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities on assigned enhancements.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the hourly and cost budgets for each of your jobs. Monitor by reviewing job hours, reports, and job costs regularly and acting as needed. Communicate budget hours to assistants and crew members.
  • Meet the client on every job.
  • Monitor quality of work by inspecting the job at the end of each day and getting a satisfactory completion form signed at the end of each day.
  • Sell an acceptable level of extras through the use of T&M tickets.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good working order.
  • Monitor AM and PM procedures for your crew.
  • Complete daily time entry.
  • Maintain your vehicles and equipment so that they reflect our image and provide a safe operating environment for other employees.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skill and ability to organize and schedule projects.
  • Experience managing others at some level.
  • Demonstrated skill and ability to work with service customers.
  • At least one year of experience doing enhancement or landscape installation work in a commercial setting.
  • Two or four‑year horticultural or related degrees and two years of industry experience. Additional industry experience or industry certifications can substitute for a non‑related degree, two‑year degree, or no degree.
  • Experience making hard and live material purchases and the ability to negotiate the best price.
