Job summary

Vanguard College Prep seeks passionate educators to teach English core skills and guide students toward top scores on college readiness exams. The role focuses on individualized growth within Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum and requires maintaining schedules and professional communication.

The ideal candidate will have a humanities degree (Master’s preferred), 1+ year teaching experience, strong English proficiency, and familiarity with MS Office and G-Suites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in humanities (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.).
• Teaching experience in English or college-level Writing Center preferred (1+ years).
• GPA 3.5+ (academic excellence).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

Responsibilities

• Teach and inspire small groups of students to promote long-term understanding and top scores in ACT & SAT.
• Track students’ progress through Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum with individualized growth opportunities.
• Maintain and update lesson schedules, assign and monitor work, and communicate professionally.
