Job summary

Fusion Academy seeks an English and History Teacher to provide one-on-one instruction and tailor lessons to each student’s needs. You’ll design flexible schedules, assess progress, and partner with families to support growth across academics, social, and emotional learning.

The role emphasizes mentoring, collaboration with staff, and ongoing professional development in a dynamic, student-centered environment. Experience with diverse learners is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of courses (English Composition, Literature, Language Arts, World and U.S. History, Government, Economics, Humanities, and Electives), curriculum and resources provided.
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
• Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem‑solve as needed.
