JOB TITLE: English as Second Language Teacher

JOB STATUS: Full-Time (35 hours/week)
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

Collaborates with classroom teachers to provide English-language instructional strategies to English Language Learners (ELL) to increase proficiency. Views each student holistically, valuing academic, social, and emotional growth. Provides individualized support considering each student's needs.
This position reports directly to the school principal and functionally to other school administrators and district directors. It involves coordination with teachers, instructional coaches, psychologists, social workers, support staff, students, guardians, and the community.
Works on the 10-month school calendar as defined by the Board of Education and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, appropriate state license or certification, and ESL Endorsement are required. A Master's degree, additional endorsements, and prior teaching experience are preferred.
Prolonged sitting or standing, lifting up to 15 pounds, and classroom navigation. Accommodations will be provided for disabilities where feasible.
