Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s in engineering or related technical field with five+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Exposure to welding, fabrication and machining is ideal.
• Degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, manufacturing or industrial engineering is desirable.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing concepts with safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to learn quickly, organize work to meet timetables and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains methods and processes for fabrication of parts and assemblies.
• Applies technical knowledge to analyze and resolve manufacturing problems.
• Designs production operation sequences and adapts machinery as needed.
• Collaborates with design engineering on specifications to optimize manufacturing.
• Investigates non-conformances and justifies disposition.
• Estimates manufacturing costs and determines time standards.
• Ensures production processes comply with regulations and updates records.
• Performs supplier audits and oversight to ensure conforming products.
• Communicates technical responses to supplier questions during proposals and manufacturing efforts.
• Supports on-site supplier kick-off meetings and project planning with Control Account Manager.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and observes all laws and procedures.
