Job summary

Sharp US in Conshohocken, PA seeks an Engineering Technician to design, develop, fabricate, install and test packaging machinery and inspection equipment. You will work on electro-mechanical systems, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment, applying CAD/ Solid Modeling and producing electrical schematics.

Required: 5+ years in engineering tech with a related two-year degree; strong troubleshooting, wiring diagrams, and experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI systems.

Qualifications

• Two-year college or technical degree in related Engineering Technology with 5+ years' experience.
• Experience setting up and operating production equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical control systems.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and mechanical prints.
• Familiarity with FDA/cGMP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical/mechanical systems to support Sharp's production requirements.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical control systems.
• Use CAD/ Solid Modeling to design electro-mechanical equipment and generate schematics.
• Design advanced control systems using PLCs and motion/robotic systems.
• Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI development.
