Job summary

TRISTAR is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to support the U.S. Navy's MK-234 NULKA decoy program at NSWC Crane.

The role provides hands-on support to government engineers and technicians performing depot maintenance, testing, evaluation, repair, refurbishment, and lifecycle sustainment of MK-234 components. The successful candidate will work in a laboratory, depot maintenance, and test environment, testing FCUs, SCUs, payload assemblies, and thermal battery replacement activities,

Qualifications

2+ years in engineering, testing, maintenance, or depot operations.
Ability to interpret procedures, drawings, and work instructions.
Ability to operate lab, electrical, mechanical, or electronic test equipment.
Experience documenting test results and preparing technical reports.

Responsibilities

Perform testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation of MK-234 subassemblies and components.
Operate and maintain specialized test equipment used in depot maintenance and refurbishment.
Conduct pre-test and post-test inspections and document results per procedures.
Support thermal battery replacement activities including removal/installation and verification testing.
Assist with payload performance testing and data collection at outdoor test ranges.
Coordinate movement, staging, inventory, and shipment of hardware between facilities.
Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support MRB activities.
Work with engineers to identify test trends and improve testing efficiency.
Maintain accurate maintenance, test, inspection, and QA records.
