Job summary

KMS Solutions, LLC in Newport, RI, supports the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) with systems safety, environmental qualification testing, and range sustainment for undersea warfare systems.

This full-time position requires hands-on maintenance and testing of electrical and mechanical test setups in an industrial lab, with travel up to 10% and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years of experience operating, maintaining, repairing, and testing shipboard or industrial electrical/fluid systems and components.
• Basic computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Install interfacing, mounting, and connecting components required to test systems.
• Maintain, operate, and repair test equipment and machinery including atmospheric chambers, shock and vibration machines, and mounting fixtures.
• Read, understand, and implement customer requirements for testing electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Operate both hand and machine power tools as needed while maintaining safety standards.
• Operate test machinery powered by hydraulic systems.
