Job summary

TRISTAR is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the U.S. Navy MK-234 NULKA program at NSWC Crane. You will assist engineers with depot maintenance, testing, and lifecycle sustainment of MK-234 components and subassemblies in a lab, depot, and test environment.

The role involves operating test equipment, performing inspections, collecting data, and documenting results, with duties across integration, assembly, and QA processes. U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering, testing, maintenance, or depot operations.
• Ability to interpret technical procedures, drawings, and work instructions.
• Ability to operate laboratory, electrical, mechanical, or electronic test equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience documenting test results and preparing technical reports.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and evaluate MK-234 NULKA subassemblies and components, including FCUs and payloads.
• Operate and maintain specialized test equipment used in depot maintenance.
• Conduct pre-test and post-test inspections and document results.
• Support thermal battery replacement activities and related QC.
• Assist with payload performance testing and data collection at ranges.
• Coordinate movement, staging, inventory, and shipment of hardware between facilities.
• Generate and document NCRs and support MRB activities.
• Work with engineers to identify test trends and improve testing efficiency.
