Job summary

Pride Global is seeking an Engineering Technician for an onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA. The position is a 12-month W2 contract requiring hands-on experience with test equipment setup, electronics, and lab operations.

The ideal candidate will maintain reliable test environments, support engineering tests, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure lab safety and documentation compliance. Strong attention to detail and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in an engineering lab, technical customer service, data center, or field service technician role.
• Hands-on experience with hardware testing and test equipment setup, maintenance, or support.
• Ability to read and follow schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and related documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including handling customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, maintain, and manage test boards and equipment used in engineering testing.
• Deploy test boards configured to run automated tests and troubleshoot setup issues.
• Modify and redeploy test board setups as procedures change.
• Collect and track lab data and key performance metrics for reporting.
• Perform calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and inspections of equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment following ESD and handling procedures.
• Read schematics and BOMs to configure equipment accurately.
• Identify discrepancies and update documentation when needed.
• Respond promptly to service requests and coordinate resolutions.
• Support environmental chamber operations and other lab testing activities.
