Anoka County is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to oversee project activities within the Transportation Division in Andover, MN. The role involves directing drafting, surveying, and multi-phase roadway and bridge development to meet safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Requires accreditation from a technical school or applicable trades program and at least 6 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of the required education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Successfully pass driver’s license background check.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect grading, paving, curb, concrete, and materials for highway work.
• Coordinate project details with stakeholders and contractors.
• Maintain records for pay quantities and materials.
• Serve as Project Manager across phases of construction.
• Compute quantities of work and materials.
• Conduct topographic surveying and staking.
• Record highway alignments, profiles, storm sewer design, and quantities.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to staff where applicable.
