Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Next-Generation Field Technician in Round Rock, TX, to support field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will communicate findings to the Project Manager, transport samples to the lab, and prepare daily reports.

Under supervision, you will learn and assist with testing tasks, maintain equipment, and ensure safety and quality across projects. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with project manager, technicians, client and contractor representatives regarding requirements and results.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory for testing and analysis.
• Tabulate, prepare, and submit data in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the project manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
• Adhere to strict safety standards.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicate information to Project Manager and discuss data accuracy for submittal.
• Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
• Maintain assigned equipment.
• Follow safety rules and report any safety issues to management.
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
