Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician III to perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests on current and new product designs under supervision. You will document results and prepare formal test reports, contributing to ISO 17025 compliance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant engineering test experience.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical and environmental testing.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 and laboratory scope.

Responsibilities

• Set up test equipment and products per testing procedures.
• Perform tests on prototypes, existing, and competitor products.
• Accurately interpret and document measurements (temperature, pressure, etc.).
• Prepare formal and informal test reports.
• Assist with Generac Engineering Laboratory Audit and 5S programs.

Conducts continuous improvement activities to reduce the potential for product defects. Involved with problem identification, containment activities, action plan development and execution.
