Conducts continuous improvement activities to reduce the potential for product defects. Involved with problem identification, containment activities, action plan development and execution. Ensure that the test requirements for product testing and processes are defined and met.Responsibilities:Setup test equipment and products in proper sequence per testing proceduresPerform tests on prototypes, existing, and competitor products for stated criteria involving mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical functions through ISO 17025 and Laboratory Scope of OperationsUse various mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement devicesAccurately interpret and document scientific notation, temperature, pressure, and other measurementsAssists in the assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products per blueprint specificationsFollow guidelines for bill of materialsSupport manufacturing through troubleshooting activities; Maintain test-related documentation in, and support administration of, database environmentPrepare formal and informal test reportsAssist with the Generac Engineering Laboratory Audit and organization 5S programsRequirementsHigh School Diploma5 Years of relevant work experience“We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.”
