Job summary

Oatey is seeking a designer engineer to assist the design team with new product development, testing, and prototype validation. You will work between R&D and manufacturing to ensure cost-efficient, reliable designs and to build test prototypes.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing, SolidWorks proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple engineering projects while communicating clearly with cross-functional teams. Associates degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and testing/validation.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Interface between R&D and production for new/launched mechanical products.
• Create models and drawings for new designs and modify existing designs.
• Develop test methods and validation plans; conduct tests for feasibility and reliability.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Manufacturing, Quality and Sourcing on Stage Gate testing.
