Job summary

Oatey Company is seeking a Quality Validation Engineer to analyze test data, identify defect causes, and drive corrective actions to improve product quality. The role focuses on challenging designs of new and existing products to meet quality standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply quality tools, and support continuous improvement programs, including ISO and Six Sigma, to ensure robust product performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of Quality Engineering experience.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management processes including APQP, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP and SPC.
• Experience with analytical quality measurement systems such as CMM and optical comparators.
• Experience in multiple material processing types (molding, metal, chemical).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and web-based tools; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Work with the NPD team to define Critical to Quality (CTQ) features and performance requirements for new products.
• Contribute to DFMEA by documenting CTQ features and applying appropriate RPN weights.
• Develop a design validation plan to ensure product performance meets design intent.
• Coordinate with Quality Manager or Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure PFMEA addresses CTQ.
• Support quality-function (QF) processes by investigating potential design flaws.
• Operate, maintain, and train on key analytical equipment and software for quality analysis.
