Job summary

GVI Inc, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, is seeking an Engineering Technician II to join our Newport, RI team. Responsibilities include assembling components, troubleshooting module assemblies, and manufacturing hose/tow cables per standard work instructions.

The role requires a high school/vocational diploma with 1–2 years of experience and the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance. Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school/vocational school diploma or GED certificate or technical school diploma and 1 to 2 years of work experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret level clearance.
• Familiar with standard computer operation and Microsoft Office products.
• Documented soldering and/or fiber-optic termination/connector certification/training is preferred.
• Experience with industrial equipment related to hoses, towing arrays, and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Construct components, sub-units, or simple devices following layouts and diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in module assemblies and hose/tow cable components.
• Manufacture hose assemblies and tow cables according to formal work instructions.
• Assist in training junior technicians and applying standard procedures.
• Collect and record test data, analyze results, and report discrepancies.
