Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking an engineer to provide technical support to engineers, gather and manipulate technical data, and produce engineering documentation including reports and schematics. The role requires associates degree and relevant experience, with preferred NNPS/Apprentice School backgrounds.

Up to 10% travel; not eligible for telework. The candidate will perform calculations, analyses, and contribute to engineering evaluation efforts, under final

Qualifications

Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience required.
NNS Apprentice School graduate preferred.
NNPS graduate preferred.
High School/GED with 2 years related experience acceptable.
High School/GED with 4 years non-related experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data and engineering documentation.
Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings, and schematics; performs detailed mathematical calculations and preliminary analyses.
