Job summary

Lynker Technologies in Mississippi is seeking an Engineering Technician II (Lab) to support the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) operations, focusing on electronics assembly, bench testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of environmental sensors and data systems.

Work in an electronics lab with oscilloscopes, DVMs, RF gear, and calibration instruments, following procedures and schematics to ensure reliable buoy stations and timely weather data for maritime safety.

Qualifications

• Entry Level - Training or experience in maintenance, repair, test and modification of electrical and electronics systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance, calibration, microprocessor based data acquisition systems, test sets, sensors, laboratory bench equipment and precision calibration electro-mechanical instruments.
• Education: AS/AAS Electronics, Instrumentation, Engineering Technology or related field.
• Must be able to pass a government background check.

Responsibilities

• As part of the Engineering Technician II role, perform electronics assembly, bench testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of electronic line replaceable units and processing systems.
• Work in an electronics laboratory environment using bench-type testing equipment.
• Support testing and troubleshooting of environmental monitoring sensors and data collection/processing systems.
• Utilize oscilloscopes, DVMs, amp meters, pulse/function generators, resistance thermometers and waveform generators.
• Work with analog, digital and RF circuitry following provided procedures and schematics.
• Complete assignments with periodic supervision to ensure policy conformance.
