Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years of related experience (Level 2).
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years of related experience or Master’s with 3 years (Level 3).
  • Ability to obtain DoD clearance and program special access within a reasonable period.

The role supports all phases of air and space builds from R&D testing to launch operations across multiple disciplines, with an emphasis on Alignments and Ordnance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and arrange equipment and personnel required to meet test requirements.
  • Contribute to the development, fabrication, and assembly of mechanical and electromechanical components, sub‑assemblies, systems, and test stands.

Basic Qualifications
  • Level2: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years related experience or Master’s degree with 0 years experience.
  • Level3: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years related experience or Master’s degree with 3 years experience.
  • Exposure to structural/flight testing or integration/R&D environments.
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering assembly and test operations procedures and policies.
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance and program special access within a reasonable period.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of direct hands‑on integration and test experience.
  • Experience with structural testing, load control, and data acquisition systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly, analog electronics, transducers, strain‑gage design, and installation.
  • Hands‑on skill in pneumatic/hydraulic system design, set‑up, and checkout.
  • Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills for resolving complex anomalies.
  • Willingness to work dynamic schedules (second shift or weekends) and travel up to 25%.
  • Experience with laser tracking/photogrammetry systems, deployment devices, pyrotechnics, pressurized gas applications, contamination issues, fluid mechanics, electrical integration, and basic test equipment operation.
  • Hazmat training (49CFR SubpartH) and Ammunition & Explosive Safety Course exposure.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret and SCI clearance preferred.

Compensation

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 – $125,200.00.

Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 – $155,400.00.

Salary determined by role scope, responsibilities, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and for certain positions long‑term incentives.

Employment Details

Standard work schedule: 9/80.

Relocation assistance: none.

Travel: 10% of the time.

Clearance required: Secret.

U.S. Citizenship required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
