Job summary

Dotson seeks an Engineering Tech II to assist across design, development, production, testing, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery. You will support automation improvements, layouts, installation, calibration, and operation of production machines.

Under general supervision, you will read blueprints, interpret specifications and contribute to process improvements while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Supervision is general; problems escalated as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, production, testing, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, tools and machinery.
• Set up, adjust and operate production machinery as needed.
• Test and inspect machines for safe, efficient operation; perform routine maintenance and fix standard malfunctions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine machine setup and operation sequence.
• Devise, fabricate and assemble mechanical components for products and instruments.
• Complete all required documents accurately.
• Adhere to 5S and safety, environmental and quality policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
