Job summary

Ultipro is seeking an Engineering Technician to support engineering and production in Texas. You will help resolve equipment and process issues, maintain CAD files, BOMs, and change notifications, and assist in development and testing of new production methods.

The role requires hands-on mechanical/electrical aptitude, CAD proficiency, and the ability to read drawings. You will collaborate with engineers to optimize uptime and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production support, maintenance (electrical, mechanical technician or controls focus).
• High School Diploma or GED; vocational training in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions.
• Proficiency in CAD (Solid Works, Solid Edge, AutoCAD).
• MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Support production to resolve equipment, process and technical issues to maintain process in optimal state.
• Provide daily support to assigned area for repairs, installations and ongoing maintenance.
• Provide diagnostic leadership to the team and floor support to the operations area for production issues.
• Create or update engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software and coordinate with engineers.
• Document PM plans and execution to plan; maintain effectiveness and critical evaluation of PM plans.
• Develop solutions to engineering tasks to reduce cost and improve processes.
• Support the design, fabrication and maintenance of assembly tooling, fixtures and hardware.
