Job summary

MacLean Power Systems in Alabama seeks an Engineering Tech II to assist in the design, development, production, testing, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, tools and machinery. Under supervision from engineering staff, you will read blueprints and specs, set up machines, inspect for safe operation, and help drive 5S, safety, quality and efficiency across the plant.

Qualifications

Accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program.
2–4 years of related experience.
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Willingness to work under general supervision.
Leadership/coaching ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

Perform automation improvements, plant layouts, and setup of production machines.
Set up, adjust and operate machinery in support of production processes.
Test and inspect machines for safe operation and perform routine maintenance.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop orders.
Fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components.
Complete all necessary documents accurately and on time.
Adhere to 5S standards and safety, environmental and quality policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
