Job summary

NC Department of Transportation seeks an Engineering Technician I for the Johnston County Maintenance Unit in North Carolina. The role reports to the Johnston County Maintenance Engineer and assists in inspecting roadway assets, maintaining inventories, and performing entry-level technical work related to sampling and testing for compliance with DOT codes and standards.

You will use a variety of hand and power tools, install traffic and erosion control devices, and assist with drainage projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.
• Experience with computer equipment and software (including iPad).

Responsibilities
