Job summary

Lam Research in Tualatin, OR, seeks an Engineering Technician to support design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems and test equipment. Referencing schematics, diagrams, and descriptions, you will conduct testing and troubleshooting and assist in remedying malfunctions to ensure precision in Lam's engineering systems.

You will perform fault isolation, support test equipment development, and use oscilloscopes and signal generators as part of standard diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work a shift-based schedule as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, check-out, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
• May conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, help in determining methods to remedy malfunctions.
• Support the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment, including, test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
