Job summary

Lam Research in Tualatin, Oregon is seeking a Laboratory Service Engineer to maintain and upgrade state-of-the-art lab equipment. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration on advanced semiconductor devices, contributing to R&D hardware concepts and feasibility studies.

You will collaborate with process development, hardware, and software engineering teams, install prototype equipment, and develop documentation and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or Associates with 2+ years of equivalent work experience, or graduate eligible.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and wear PPE.
• Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of semiconductor lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and calibrations on equipment in an R&D environment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and vacuum systems.
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous gases and liquids with proper PPE.
• Collaborate with process development, hardware, and software engineering on R&D activities and customer demos.
• Install and support prototype equipment, developing procedures and documentation.
• Maintain clear communication to align priorities across tasks.
