Job summary

Terracon in Fort Myers seeks an entry-level field/lab testing technician to support materials testing on construction sites. You will perform basic testing and observations under supervision, document findings, and communicate results to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities include sample transport, data reporting, and equipment maintenance while adhering to safety standards. Requirements include a high school diploma, 6 months of experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, and others on site.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory with documentation for testing.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in reports for daily transmittal.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas; assist with scheduling.
