Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Field Technician in the Buffalo area to perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will communicate results to the Project Manager and prepare written and digital reports while maintaining equipment and ensuring safety on site.

The role includes assisting with scheduling, supporting technicians, and adhering to safety standards to deliver quality workmanship on all projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire preferred.
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials.
• Communicate with Project Manager and team regarding requirements and results.
• Transport samples to the laboratory for testing and analysis.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
• Follow safety rules and practices on all projects.
