Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. seeks an Engineering Technician I to support energetic materials handling, rocket motor testing, and facility activation at Pueblo and Penrose, CO. This hands-on role covers instrumentation, controls, and production operations under senior engineers.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 5 years of related experience or an associate degree with 3+ years in energetics or aerospace manufacturing. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain clearance are required.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with energetic materials, propulsion, or explosives and safe handling per safety standards.
  • Experience with facility commissioning, equipment startup, or activation; ability to read engineering drawings and procedures.
  • Understanding of explosive safety and regulatory requirements (DoD/OSHA/ATF).
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools and assembly techniques in a manufacturing or test setting.
  • Strong documentation discipline to support traceability and audit readiness.
  • Effective communication across engineering, quality, and operations teams; problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Support static fire and functional test operations for rocket motors; collect and review test data.
  • Assist with activation of new facilities and commissioning of systems.
  • Perform hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly and checkout of equipment.
  • Maintain safety, environmental health, and regulatory compliance in operations.
  • Document test results and commissioning activities for traceability.
